Whatcha Think?

"Whatcha think of my new hair style, ma?"  =)

His hair is so long! It has grew a lot since he was first born. It is also turning blonde. I had too much fun seeing what his hair can do! I don't think I will have it cut until he is about 1 year old. BUT...we will see! Too bad he is not a girl because if he was I will put piggy tails in. Don't tell Brian I said that. heehee!

Conner's 1st Michigan Trip

Conner's 1st trip to Michigan was amazing!
He was pretty much the center of the attention.
Conner met so many families from the Green's & the Conner's side of the family.
I was really glad that he adjusted well from just being with mommy & daddy to being with big families!
BG's old church gave us a baby shower so that was great!
He also did well on the flight home (on the way there was pretty much stressful).
Thank you Lynn & Don for letting us stay at your wonderful home!

Brian & his cousin Nicole with the cutest babies!

Grandma Conner & Conner interacting with each other.

Conner got a big jumperoo from all his aunts! Thanks!

He loves it!

ahhh....relaxing with the girls. Lynn took us out for our 1st experience at the nail spa.

Beautiful colors & designs!

4 Generation of the Green guys! Great-grandpa Green, Grandpa Don Green, Daddy BG Green & baby Conner Green.

It's Hannah's sweet 16th birthday! We went Ice Skating. Cupcakes are fun to eat!

Aunt Robin (BG's oldest sister)

Robin's kid, Jack. ok who gave him the root beer? lol

So it snowed on the day we were suppose to flight home. We decided to stay another night. I love the snow!
Oh we can't forget great grandma Lu Green! I'm glad she got to meet Conner!

I know each picture can tell us thousands words. I cannot descirbe the love that we had recived when we visited with Conner. It was a wonderful time. I'm thankful that God provided the money for tickets and giving BG a vacation time. We couldn't go last Christmas but better late than never. I'm ready to go back again. Possiblity in JUNE!!! 4 months check-up

The doctor visit went really well! He weights 16 lbs. and 23 inches long! Doctor said he is in the 50% for weight and 75% for height. A strong & heathy boy! His hernia belly button is so much better that at 1st month. Whew! He is old enough to start rice cereal. I'm really happy about that because eating 8-10oz of milk wasn't enough for him. Anyway, today is Valentine's day! My baby boy & my hubby is my special valentine!!!

Through Your Child's Eyes: American Sign Language [Subtitled]

I thought that this video was very well presented. The benefit of teaching sign language truly does make a differences in a child's life, especially young babies.
I am hard-of-hearing but I considered myself Deaf since I cannot hear a sound without the aid of a hearing device. My mom learned America Sign Language while she was in college. She only took the class for fun, not knowing that her world would be forever change. I was born a year later after my parents got married. I was born hearing. At 10 months old, I became sick with meningitis which cause my hearing lost. Fortunately, my mom knew she wanted to use sign language to help me communicate with people around me. I don't know where I would be without ASL.
Now, here I am. I have a 4 months old son. In case, if you were wondering, my child is not Deaf or hard-of-hearing. I'm actually impressed on how well he responded to noises. Deaf or hearing, he will be taught ASL. I don't mean to make it sound like a force but it is more about appreciating the language. I want to help us with our communication for many years to come. The 1st sign that I have been using since he was born is "milk". He has already responded to that sign by stop crying or longing for it. He knew what it meant. That is pretty impressive to me considered he knew what it means even when he was only 2 months old.Other signs that I am also teaching are "mama", "dada", "mimi", "grandpa", "monkey", "play", "kisses", "eat", "bedtime" and a few more. I don't know what Conner's first sign will be. I am looking forward to the day that he will use my language. America Sign Language is a beautiful thing!
