Two Very Special Friends

Dear Conner,

Daddy and I just went out to eat with our two very good friends, Loren & Jessica Frick. They are so much fun to be with. They have given us a lot of support and wisdom. Your daddy and I decided that we want to ask them to be your godparents. Guess what? They said yes! It is a special role. Being a godparent is being involved with your life, giving you wisdom, guiding you in the right path, or even sending you a birthday card if they cant make it to your party. I wanted you to know who they are. They are a very good couple to learn from about Deaf culture since they both are Deaf. You will have lots of fun getting to know them. They were going to have a little girl not much older than you are. Sadly, she died of a still-birth just a few weeks ago. Her name is Colleen Faye Frick. She was named after her grandmothers. What is cool is that your name was already picked out before we knew about her names. Your name sounded a lot like her name. They even are named after your grandparents. I hope that every time you see a butterfly, you will think of all the little angels in heaven, especially Colleen Faye. She is very special little one =)
