Just Like Your Daddy!

Dear Conner,

Today, Daddy and I took your Uncle Zach to Target for his college shopping. While we were there, I found this cute silly shirt for you to wear. It says "I burp like my daddy!". That is for sure! Daddy burps like crazy (but to be honest I burp too-Shhh!).You will have fun with your daddy trying to win a burping contest. Your daddy told me that great-grandma Green would have burping contests with all her grandchildren and she still could win! Maybe one day you will get to do that with her. haha!

Love your silly mommy!

p.s. Please don't burp in church or in front of your teachers.

We're Moving

This is bittersweet news for Brian and I. After 3 months of searching for a new job, BG finally got a job Northeast of Atlanta. Praise the Lord! However, this means we have to move. We are sad to leave our friends and church family behind in the Chattanooga area. August 22, 2010 Crosspointe Community Church had their first service in the new building. I am so blessed to see how God gave our "community" their very own church building. It was definitely a difficult time for BG and I because the Sunday the church held its first service ended up being our last church visit. It was hard to say goodbye to our dear friends. We want to thank our pastors, our church family & friends who had been such an inspiration to us. Thank you for all your prayers and support. Please continue to pray for us as we find a new home to rent, a hospital/doctor for me & our baby, also a new church that we may continue to serve God. We love you guys!

A Shower of Blessing!

Dear Conner,

You will not believe this, but so many people love you! Your god-parents (Loren & Jessica Frick) hosted a baby shower for us. A lot of families and friends showed up to celebrate you and your life.Great-Grandma Conner, Grandma Green, Mimi Vance along with your aunts & uncles & even your baby cousin Amira came. They gave you lots of cute clothes, books, a special handmade pillow, even diapers...lots of them! Our friends painted small birdhouses for us to hang in your room. They even left notes inside the birdhouses for us to read later. Your godfather made some really awesome cupcakes. Chocolate ones! He put a bird nest on top of all of the cupcakes. It was a lot of fun, Conner! Everyone can't wait to meet you. Don't forget this...YOU are special!

Hiccups!!

Dear Conner,

I woke up at 5am this morning to the rhythm of your hiccups. I know that this sounds silly, but it was the most amazing thing ever! Who knew that babies could have hiccups inside their mommy's womb? The feeling is not strong as your kicks are, but they are more of a relaxing beat on one side of my belly. I lie on my bed wide awake thinking about you, and your hiccups. Oh how blessed I am to have you in my life. I know that God is taking care of you right now. Don't worry...the hiccups will go away. I love you my lil' bug!

Love,
Mommy
